Mt. LeConte cabin sketch. Limited edition gicleé print. ©2012
The lodge atop Mt. LeConte is a unique and beautiful place. At an elevation of 6,400 feet, it is the highest guest lodge in the eastern U.S. The hike up LeConte (which is the only way to get there), is one of the most popular hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains. On my second trip to the top of LeConte, via the Alum Cave Trail, I sat with a sketchbook and an ultra fine Sharpie and did this sketch of one of the cabins. It is offered here as an 8" x 10" limited edition gicleé print signed and numbered by the artist. Edition limited to 75.
